Frequently asked questions
What matters when selecting a coupling?
Four values: torque to transmit, RPM, shaft diameters, and expected misalignment. Add operating environment (temperature, oil, chemical) and selection is clear.
My coupling insert wears out too often — why?
Almost always misalignment. A coupling tolerates some misalignment, but at the cost of its insert. Check alignment before replacing the insert, or you'll be back at the same point.
Elastic vs. rigid coupling — what's the difference?
Elastic tolerates misalignment and damps vibration — ideal for general use. Rigid accepts zero misalignment but transmits the highest torque and precision, only in fully aligned systems.
Can custom coupling inserts be manufactured?
Yes — inserts not available on the market can be manufactured through our rubber and polyurethane workshop, a common solution for older machines.
