Frequently asked questions

My polyurethane scraper blades wear out too fast — a fix?
Likely yes — the usual cause is wrong hardness selection for the application. Tell us the material handled and belt speed, and we'll recommend a more durable compound.
Can worn rollers be recoated?
Yes. Polyurethane recoating brings worn roller and wheel cores back into service and is usually more economical than a new roller.
Can polyurethane be used in hot environments?
Limited — it's mechanically excellent but weak against hot water and steam. In those conditions we recommend EPDM or PTFE instead.
Polyurethane or rubber — which lasts longer?
Depends on the application. Where abrasion and tearing dominate, polyurethane lasts much longer; where impact absorption and hot water matter, rubber wins.
