My bolts keep loosening from vibration — a fix?
Anaerobic thread locker is made for this: it fills thread clearance, cures solid, and resists vibration loosening while also protecting against corrosion.
Will I still be able to remove the bolt after applying locker?
Depends on grade. Low and medium strength come off with normal hand tools. High strength usually needs heat. For serviceable joints, stay at medium.
When is bearing retainer used?
When there's unwanted clearance between a bearing and shaft or housing — it fills the gap so the bearing doesn't spin; common in worn-housing repairs.
Is pipe sealant better than thread tape?
In most applications, yes: full fill, no thread stress, doesn't dry out over time. It also applies faster and cleaner than tape.
