Flow Measurement and Process Control

Flow meter accuracy is decided by fluid type and installation, not just the device.

Frequently asked questions

What information do you need to select a flow meter?
Fluid type, flow range, pipe diameter, temperature and pressure, required accuracy, and output signal — whether the fluid is conductive determines the meter type.
Which flow meter works with dirty liquid?
Electromagnetic meters are ideal — no moving parts in the flow path, works reliably with slurry and particulate liquids, as long as the fluid is electrically conductive.
Can I measure my compressed air consumption?
Yes — thermal mass flow meters measure compressed air use. Combined with leak detection, this makes your plant's air energy cost visible.
What matters in flow meter installation?
Straight pipe run before and after the meter is critical — a meter mounted right after an elbow or valve won't give accurate readings.
