Teflon (PTFE) Products

Pure, carbon-filled and bronze-filled PTFE for seals, bushings and custom parts.

Filler types and what they add

Pure PTFE is soft and prone to cold flow under load. Fillers correct that weakness.

Pure PTFEWidest chemical resistance, lowest frictionStatic seals, chemical lines
Carbon-filledWear resistance, heat conductionDynamic seals, bearings
Bronze-filledLoad bearing, dimensional stabilityHydraulic wear bands

Frequently asked questions

What temperature can Teflon handle?
PTFE covers a very wide range where elastomers can't operate; the exact limit depends on grade and filler. We base selection on your line's actual peak temperature, not the catalog figure.
What's the difference between carbon and bronze-filled PTFE?
Both correct pure PTFE's wear weakness, but differently: carbon filler adds wear resistance and heat conduction; bronze filler adds load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability. Bronze suits hydraulic wear bands; carbon suits rotating bearings.
What parts can be made from Teflon?
Seals, bushings, bearings, gaskets, wear bands, and custom machined parts. We work from a sample or a technical drawing.
Pure or filled Teflon — which do I choose?
If there's dynamic motion, choose a filled grade. For static applications, pure PTFE's broader chemical resistance is preferable. Describe your application and we'll confirm.
