Frequently asked questions
Which information do you need for a chemical hose?
Three things are mandatory: the chemical's name, its concentration, and the temperature. General terms like 'acid' or 'solvent' aren't specific enough — two chemicals in the same family can behave very differently in the same hose.
Do you supply food-grade hoses?
Yes — silicone and PTFE hoses in food-safe grades for food and beverage lines. Resistance to CIP cleaning chemicals and wash temperatures is factored in, not just food contact approval.
Can you prepare a hose cut and fitted to my exact length?
Yes — cut to size with the correct fittings on both ends, ready to install. Just give us the length, diameter and connection type on each end.
When should I choose a PTFE hose over silicone?
Three situations: aggressive chemicals, when you don't want internal buildup (PTFE's surface is very slick), or a very wide temperature range.
My hose keeps bursting — why?
Three usual causes: exceeding the rated working pressure, routing tighter than the minimum bend radius, or a material mismatch with the fluid. All three come down to selection and installation, not the hose itself.
