Industrial Valves

The first question: do you need full open/close, or flow throttling?

Which valve for which job

TypeStrengthNot suited for
Ball valveFast full open/close, low lossFlow throttling
Butterfly valveEconomical at large diametersHigh pressure differential
Gate valveVery low resistance fully openFrequent open/close
Globe valvePrecise flow controlLow pressure-loss requirements

Frequently asked questions

What information do you need to select a valve?
Fluid type, temperature, pressure, line diameter, and connection type — five facts are enough to recommend the right valve.
Ball or butterfly valve — which should I use?
For small-to-medium diameters, ball valves are fast, sealed and low-loss. For large diameters, butterfly valves are more economical and compact. Both are for full open/close; use a globe valve for throttling.
My valve leaks — repair or replace?
If the body is sound and the sealing elements are the issue, repair works — seal and seat are renewed. Corrosion or a cracked body calls for replacement. Send a photo.
Do you supply spare parts for valves?
Often yes — seal sets, stems and seating surfaces are renewed to return a valve to service. Non-standard sealing elements can be manufactured in-house.
