Frequently asked questions
Is a pattern needed for a cast part?
Yes, casting is done from a pattern. A pattern can be made from your sample; it's a one-time cost kept for future repeat orders.
Minimum order quantity for casting?
Casting becomes more economical with quantity due to pattern cost, but we do evaluate single-piece needs — sometimes machining from bar stock is more cost-effective, and we'll say so.
Do you also machine the cast part?
Yes — required machining, heat treatment and surface finishing are coordinated so the part arrives ready to install.
Can an old cast part be reproduced?
Yes — a pattern is made from the sample and the part is re-cast, with wear allowance corrected if the sample was worn.
